“Through the arts, to enhance the quality of life and develop the cultural, educational and economic growth of our community.”
— Doña Ana Arts Council Mission Statement
Artist Exhibitions
We aim to reflect the spirit of Southern New Mexico arts. We present exhibitions that explore themes of land, heritage, and community, and artist individuality. By collaborating with local artists, we ensure the voices and experiences of our region are at the forefront.
Learning & Community Involvement
We believe creativity is a lifelong journey. Through programs like our Career Art Path (CAP) Summer Youth Program, workshops with regional artists, and creative wellness classes for seniors, we create opportunities for learning and connection across generations.
Partnerships with schools, libraries, and cultural organizations help us bring art into classrooms, public spaces, and community gatherings—making the arts accessible to all.
Seasonal Traditions & Events
We’ve proudly hosted the Las Cruces Renaissance ArtsFaire since 1972 - which brings nearly 8,000 people together each November at Las Cruce’s Young Park! Blending art, history, and performance into a beloved tradition that has rooted itself in New Mexico’s history since the 1970s!
Year-round, we showcase gallery exhibitions, literary programs, public art projects, and more! We aim to connect our community and affirm the arts as a cornerstone of life in the South West.
